What are community hub sessions for?

Whether you need help to get into work, support to get online or advice to get your finances back on track, we have just the thing for you.  At our weekly drop-in sessions we offer:

  • Advice on how to maximise your income and reduce your weekly household bills, along with managing debt.
  • Welfare benefit checks, including Universal Credit.
  • 1:2:1 support.
  • Help to get back into work from CV writing to job searching, through to interview.
  • Training and support that can help you develop new skills or build on those you already have.
  • Assistance to find work placements, apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities or signposting you to programmes such as The Prince’s Trust.
  • Grant funding to help you gain new qualifications.
  • General housing advice and help to complete Homepoint housing applications.

Work clubs

Local work clubs run by the charity South Staffs Work Clubs offer advice, training, and support to people looking for employment.

They offer a one-stop support package to ALL residents seeking employment or even a career change. A team of staff are available to offer a range of help, such as:

  • Careers coaching and interview techniques
  • Benefits advice
  • ICT training and access to free internet for job searching
  • Access to volunteering opportunities and training and work placements offered by local businesses

Work clubs operate in Featherstone, Perton, Bilbrook & Codsall, Huntington, Wombourne, Great Wyrley and Penkridge.
