Making a payment

I can’t get to the payment page, what should I do?

We use AllPay to process card payments. If the page won’t load, check their service status webpage for updates.

If there are no problems reported by AllPay, please try using a different browser. If it continues not to work, please contact our customer service team on 0800 048 8955 for more information.

Payments take up to two working days to appear on the portal

If you’ve just made a payment, it can take up to two working days before it appears on your online statement. This can also be affected by bank holidays and weekends.

Paying by Direct Debit

If you pay by Direct Debit, you’re still welcome to create an account. You can download previous statements and make any other payments you need to, in addition to your regular Direct Debit payments.

If you pay by Direct Debit, your account may show in arrears. This may be because your Direct Debit calculation may include the ‘Rent free weeks’ in December and March. If all your scheduled payments are made, the account will be up to date by the end of March.

Partial Housing Benefit recipients

Your Housing Benefit payment is made every 4 weeks in arrears. If your circumstances have not changed, please calculate the rent payment due based on your last Housing Benefit payment. If your circumstances have changed and you believe your Housing Benefit payment may be affected, please contact Shropshire Council’s Housing Benefit department and our Income Team.

Full Housing Benefit recipients

You currently receive full Housing Benefit. Please contact South Staffordshire Council’s Housing Benefit department and our Income Team if your circumstances have changed and you believe your Housing Benefit payment may be affected.
